Mixed Media Painting: Acrylics/Oil with Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins, MFA

This dynamic 3-week course blends the bold energy of acrylics with the rich, glowing finish of oils—giving you the best of both worlds. You’ll start by creating a full acrylic painting, learning how to block in color, build texture, and shape your composition. Then, you’ll shift into oil techniques that add depth, nuance, and expressive detail to bring your work to life. Prefer to stick with just one medium? No problem—students are welcome to work in acrylics or oils only if that suits their style.
