The 3x3 at Arlene’s is an annual fundraising exhibit that brings together hundreds of original artworks created and donated by local professional artists, creatives, and community members. Each piece is a 3” x 3” square, signed on the back, and exhibited anonymously. There is no limit to how many pieces people can donate, and all artwork will be available for purchase at just $10 each, the majority of the proceeds benefiting a local non-profit whose mission is to positively impact the New York State Capital Region.
This year, Lower Adorindak Regional Arts Council (LARAC) was selected as the 2026 beneficiary, receiving 28.1% of the votes. The Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC), founded in 1972, supports and strengthens the regional arts community while encouraging a broader understanding of the role of art in daily life. They offer public exhibitions, workshops, festivals, grants, and professional development opportunities for artists and arts organizations. LARAC operates out of a restored Victorian carriage house in downtown Glens Falls, NY.
The 3x3 at Arlene’s is free to attend and family-friendly, and there is no limit to how many pieces you can buy. The event kicks off with an Arlene’s Members-Only Preview on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 4:30 – 5:30 PM, followed by the Opening Party on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 2:30 – 5:30 PM. Artist names will only be revealed at the end of the exhibit when buyers collect their purchased work.

Here's how it works:

All flat or two-dimensional artwork must be 3”x3”, and sculptural or three-dimensional pieces must be 3"x3"x3”.

All mediums welcome.

Each piece needs to have the artist's name printed on the back.

All artwork is a donation and will be sold for $10 as a fundraiser for LARAC

All artwork must be able to be displayed on a wall (NO MATS OR FRAMES).

Artwork drop-off location: Arlene’s Artist Materials, 57 Fuller Rd, Albany, NY 12205. The deadline for submission is Saturday, June 13, 2026, by 5 PM (EST).

All artwork must be accompanied by a completed 3x3 at Arlene's Artwork Entry Form.
Important Dates and Information:

3x3 Artwork Drop Off Deadline: Saturday, June 14, 2025, before 5 pm (EST)

3x3 at Arlene’s: July 10, 2026, through August 8, 2026

Member Preview: July 9, 2026, from 4: 30 to 5: 30 pm

Opening Party: Friday, July 10, 2026, 2:30 to 5:30 pm (featuring DJ Brent Michael)

​Purchasing will open to the general public on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10 am.

​Purchased Artwork Pick-Up: Starting August 10, 2026, during store hours

​​All purchased artwork must be picked up within 30 days of the last day of the 3x3 at Arlene’s. After this period, any unclaimed artwork will be considered forfeit, become the property of Arlene’s, and will be handled accordingly. No exceptions.​

All donated work becomes the property of Arlene’s; unsold work will not be returned.

Join or Host a Make and Donate Party
We’re making it easier than ever to participate in Make and Donate Days at Arlene’s on Saturdays: April 11th, May 23rd, and June 6th. Drop in anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM. All supplies provided. All ages welcome. Click the images above for more info.
