Arlene's Student Show Online Submission Form

Eligibility:

  • Open to anyone who has taken or is currently enrolled in a class or workshop at the Atelier at Arlene’s.

 

Artwork Requirements:

  • All artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist.

  • Work DOES NOT need to be created during a class/workshop or in the medium of the class/workshop taken at Arlene's.

  • Any media, theme, and style are allowed.

  • Artists may submit one piece of artwork.

    • Maximum size for 2D artwork/flat (paintings. drawing, etc.) cannot not exceed 18x24" inch or 20"x20" inch unframed. If a piece of artwork is considerably larger in any direction it will not be considered for this show. Any 3D artwork/sculptural cannot exceed 20"x20"x20" inch.

 

Submission Process:

  1. Online Form Submission (Required):

    • All artists must complete an online submission form before 6 pm Wednesday, January 28, 2026.

    • The form will ask for:

      • A photo of the artwork

      • Title, medium, dimensions, year created, and price (Please write Not for Sale is you do not intend to sell your work ).

    • Artists must also agree to our Terms and Conditions to participate (SEE BELOW).

  2. Labels:

    • Information from the online form will be used to create artwork labels. These labels will be matched to each piece during drop-off.

 

Show Location & Timeline:

  • Exhibition Venue: Guilderland Public Library 2228 Western Avenue Guilderland, NY 12084

  • Artwork Drop-Off: TO BE DETERMINED

  • Show Installation: TO BE DETERMINED

  • Artwork Pick-Up: TO BE DETERMINED

 

Framing & Presentation:

  • All artwork must be:

    • Properly framed and wired with secure hanging hardware.

    • Clip frames or frames with sawtooth hangers will NOT be accepted. No exceptions.

  • Each piece must have a label on the back with (NOTE: This info needs to match the info provided on the online form):

    • Artist’s name

    • Title

    • Medium

    • Year Made

    • Price

    • Artist’s email address and phone number

 

Sales & Commission:

  • Parties interested in purchasing artwork will be given the artist’s email address to complete the transaction directly with the artist.

Arlene’s Student Art Show Application Guidelines

We invite eligible artists to submit their work for the Arlene’s Student Art Show! All artwork must be original and created by the submitting artist. The work does not need to be created during a class or workshop, nor does it need to be in the medium of the class/workshop. Artists may submit one piece of artwork, and all media, themes, and styles are welcome with no size requirement. All work must be properly framed and wired with secure hanging hardware; clip frames and frames with sawtooth hangers will not be accepted. The image submitted must be the same work that will be displayed—no exceptions. Image files should be at least 300 dpi and labeled in the following format: FirstLastName_Title.jpg or FirstLastName_Title.png. Arlene’s reserves the right to decline any work that does not meet the guidelines. Artists cannot participate without first submitting this online application, including an image of the piece that will be shown.
