Plein-Air Paint Out with Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins, MFA

Join us for an inspiring outdoor painting and drawing experience at the scenic Six Mile Waterworks in Albany Pine Bush. Afterward, gather for a group critique at Uncommon Grounds Coffee Shop in University Plaza. Discover fresh ways to unleash your creative potential as you interact with the landscape and respond to it in a playful and imaginative manner. Come prepared to create your masterpiece outdoors, whether through painting or drawing. Utilizing the direct painting or Alla Prima approach, we'll complete our artwork in one sitting, using materials of your choice. Receive personalized instruction on-site, followed by an indoor group critique. Six Mile Waterworks boasts breathtaking views of Rensselaer Lake and other captivating scenes. Rain or shine, let's explore the beauty of art in nature together! This workshop is open to drawing and painting mediums. Please bring an assortment of supplies appropriate to the medium you would like to work. Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop.
