Learn the Basics with Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins, MFA

If you want to try your hand at watercolor painting, and have no idea where to start but want to invest in yourself and add watercolor painting to your repertoire, this class is for you! Carolyn will give you techniques to help you paint right away, that will build your confidence, allowing you to express your creativity using a paint brush, watercolors and paper!  Learn and utilize 10 basic watercolor techniques! Demonstrations in every class. Students will also learn to paint simplified Chinese Dragons and Koi Fish in celebration of the Year of the Dragon. Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop. Refer to the Materials List linked below for more information.

Students who have not previously taken watercolor classes with Carolyn are encouraged to start with this class, as a prerequisite for her Intermediate and Advanced courses. Learn how to use watercolors while creating a beautiful painting using various techniques and methods through simple steps, tips, and references. In-class demonstrations.
