In Living Felt- 3D Edition with artist in residence Aly Parrott

Wool is a versatile medium, full of endless and magical possibilities. In this workshop, makers will learn about the various techniques of needle felting, and use them to create unique 3 dimensional objects or sculptures out of wool fibers. We will create armatures out of a very simple material, pipe cleaners, and learn to build up layers of felted wool to create a dynamic final form. We will finish our creations with colored wool, and learn techniques for creating texture, depth, and patterns with wool.. Supplies are included in the cost of this workshop.

NOTE: The instructor will be creating an example to follow, but feel free to bring your own ideas and plans for your sculpture.
