Free Mono-Type Printing Workshop with Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins

(The Art of Gyotaku Fish Printing)

Wednesday, December 13 from 11-2 PM

(Limited to 15 participants)

No experience is necessary. Must be 18+ to participate.

Join Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins for this fun and interactive FREE Mono-Type Printing workshop. Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing fish, a practice that dates back to the mid-1800s. This form of nature printing was used by fishermen to record their catches but has also become an art form of its own. Prints will be made using real fish that has been specially prepared for printing. Carolyn will take you through the process step-by-step. Each participant will create a beautiful print to take home. All materials are included.

Carolyn DiFiori Hopkins is a professional artist with more than 35 years of experience teaching and exhibiting.
