Everyday Sketching: Our Furry Friends with Ottavia Huang

Every pet has a personality worth capturing, and this workshop is a great way to learn how. Ottavia will guide you step‑by‑step through creating an expressive watercolor sketch from a photograph—starting with a simple pencil layout, moving into clean ink outlines, and finishing with lively watercolor layers that bring your subject to life.  You’ll learn how to simplify shapes, suggest texture, and use thoughtful mark-making to highlight the charm of your furry (or feathered!) companion. It’s a relaxed, beginner‑friendly workshop that encourages play, observation, and personal connection. 

Feel free to bring a reference photo—or a couple—if you’d like to sketch your own pet. Supplies are not included in the workshop fee. A PDF supply list is available in the workshop description.
