In this 5-hour workshop, you will learn how to recreate a lifelike cat portrait in colored pencils using an “extraction” technique. The sleek surface of the transparent film allows a lot of versatility and almost no room for errors as you can erase and reapply the pigment as you wish. You will surely get to know your tools and your subject really well as you practice and polish your skills. It is suited for intermediate and above levels but any level is welcome as long as you’re up for a great learning experience. A supply list will be provided upon registration and supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop. A detailed booklet with step-by-step instructions will be sent out a few days prior to the workshop.

Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements.
