Plein Air Watercolor at 6 Mile Waterworks with Kevin Kuhne

This course is recommended for students with some basic knowledge and experience with watercolor materials and techniques. Capture the beauty of 6-Mile Waterworks Park, just down the road from Arlene’s, off of the West side of the first traffic circle. Kevin will do a demonstration, and then there will be plenty of individual help, with a focus on portraying water, reflections, foliage, light, and atmosphere. In the case of inclement weather, we will meet at Arlene’s and work from photographs of the 6-Mile/Pine Bush area. A supply list will be provided upon registration and supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop.

We will meet in the morning at Six Mile Waterworks Park, off the traffic circle on Fuller Road just down the road from Arlene’s. Check in with Andrew in the parking lot and get your name tag when you arrive. The workshop will be held at a pavilion just up from the parking area near the bathrooms. In the event of heavy rain we’ll meet at Arlene’s Artist Materials at 10am to 1pm and work from photos of the 6-Mile lake that Kevin will provide.
