3x3 at Arlene’s

The R Gallery at Arlene’s announced the return of its fourth annual 3x3 at Arlene’s. This exhibit brings together artwork by local artists, creatives, and everyone in between as a fundraiser to support local charitable initiatives. From July 14, 2023, to August 12, 2023, the artwork will be available for purchase with the majority of the proceeds donated to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (MHHS).

The exhibit features small works of art, all 3” square, of various mediums and substrates. All are generously donated by members of our local creative community. All work will be sold for $10 each and the majority of the proceeds will go to support the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Andrew Ochal, Gallery Director, and Founding Curator, said “The gallery is a deceptively small space and can fit a lot of work. In the past, we have shown upwards of 600 small works in the hopes of raising as much as possible for our beneficiaries. Most of our artists consider the size required to be an interesting challenge and say how much fun they had making the pieces and how it is a great size to work in.”

He goes on to say “it is a very egalitarian show in that no one knows who made a piece until they purchase it and pick it up. You could get an original piece from a famous local artist or a beautifully crafted one from your next-door neighbor. It makes it about the love of the piece, compounded by the affordable price and philanthropic act of raising money for such a vital cause as Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.”

There will be an Opening Party for the 3X3 at Arlene’s on Friday, July 12, 2022, from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. It is free to attend, family-friendly, and open to the public. Let’s come together to support the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and continue to support our local community.

The 3X3 at Arlene’s will be on view at the R Gallery at Arlene’s, 57 Fuller Rd Albany NY 12205, from Friday, July 14, 2023, through Saturday, August 12, 2023.
